Grow Tent Recommendations

I was thinking something similar… Block off about 8’ in my dining room, and put up a 2x4 wall and line with panda film or whatever…
To be honest though, I have been seriously considering leaving Alaska this year… That being said, I don’t want to jump to make the changes only to take it down in a couple of months…

Only takes a couple of months for a good harvest

I’ve been able to cope with it currently, and will have to make a decision by the end of April on whether I build a veg area. I’ve been on the look out for a cheap tent also. The bathroom is just going to be too hot in the summer, that’s for sure.

Bathroom closet whatever you want to call it. I’m glad you take care of yourself. I might go pitch a tent.

HTG Supply is a chinese middleman. They do however sell good tents for the price and always have them in stock.

I switched to 2x4 baker’s racks, Botanicare rack trays and B/W poly. They are sturdy, purpose built and I am very happy with them.

I was thinking about getting a 10x10 tent and a few LED’s under 2.5k watt total (if ran 100%). If I keep the tent in a cool, air conditioned room with good ventilation, I shouldn’t need a portable ac unit should I ? I was going to get 2 AC Infinity 8in inlines, one intake and one exhaust with carbon.

3.4 BTU of HVAC/watt.

I own a vivisun, an off brand, and a gorilla tent. The gorilla is 100% worth the money. Of the three, it’s the only one that didnt come with light leaks or develop them during setup.

One thing to note: everyone I know that has used tents has broken the support poles. Know where to source extra.
I’ve seen lots of dowels and 2x2 zip tied to broken tent poles.

Lights get heavy and supporting stuff like carbon filters and exhaust fans makes it even worse and then you add in moving around inside the tent and maybe bumping it.

I was gifted a 10x20’ gorilla grow tent. The zippers can be done better, but insulation is nice… and i can raise it if need be by the foot.

Idk how much they cost, but I use the 10x20’ for my clones and mothers. Other than zipper failure, its a good bet.

Looks like Gorilla is the way to go. Too bad they’re $$$$ and the MOQ from their chinese supplier is 30-100 units.

nobody else has stepped up to compete. Many other tents are obviously the same supplier. I hate having so many brands. I just got confused assembling one and thought I was a pro but different designs have different assembly. it was also in a confined space and at some point I thought they misinstalled the zippers. It has round zips on both sides and no center zips. This one goes on top and bottom and then wraps around sideways.

Do you guys think this is a solid tent?

It may be ok but for a tent that size id want bigger poles like a gorilla. Id do 2 4x8 instead of the 10 x 10. you can even open up the back side to have them share light mostly. And my lights cover 4x4 a bit better than 5x5

I have same one with different name on it. It has a few pin hole light leaks but not bad. But for that price I’d throw up some 2x4 w/ sheeting
