Grinding/Milling/Sieving Isolate for Tablet Manufacture

I’m trying to make CBD isolate tablets but have been having a hard time getting a good throughput on my CBD isolate. I have a 100 mesh SS sieve that the CBD isolate goes through before going into the V mixer but the process is slow. Does any one have any ideas on a pre-mill or blender to get the CBD isolate down to a very fine powder before going through the sieve? I am thinking a rotating basket made of 100 mesh SS screen with ball bearings tumbling in it and a tray/bucket to catch the isolate that gets pushed through but am having truoble finding this product. Any ideas are appreciated

I hope you find a solution and it’s fire seeing someone make tablets for end users that don’t want to smoke nor use some sugar laced edibles.

Could your local steel shop help you make the shell of the rotating mesh attachment that you can throw on a rotating wheel?

Look into a cone mill or conical mill. They’re used for reducing mesh size for bulk powders and are usually pretty consistent.

I only had luck with cooling (dry ice)
The steel balls in my case smashed so hard that like flakes where made
Cooling with dry ice is a thingy thou for it will attract condensation at very low delta T with your surrounding
So watch for that
I used a powder sugar grinder with dry ice cooled sieve it then let it get back to temp where the frost on outside of container stopped forming then place inside a powder mixing mill ( v shaped )
Then to press all in all quiet a task

Grinder should have the theeth not the grinding disks like a corn grinder

Not sure if it behaves like THCa isolate, if I need a fine powder I will freeze diamonds and use a bullet blender. It’s pretty fast and efficient on small lots

We have always used a hammer mill to mill down our isolate prior to drying. Makes a pretty fine powder, especially if you run the resulting mixture through a sieve
