In aluminum, how ecstasy would that be experienced? Loss of stirbar spin?

I’ve never seen someone call the proportional-integral-derivative equation p&id

Were you at @cyclopath ? Lol

5 gallons of solution filtered in under a minute
And the only training you need is how to assemble it with filter paper and put the hose in one bucket while it shoots out the other hose into another bucket and maybe throttle up the air when the pump gets super chilly

How many times do you have to rebuild a Welch for a ceramic buchner on top of a glass jug for the pig filter to be cost effective?

P&IDs (the diagrams not the controllers) are used in construction blueprints.

I was pointing out the irony of someone having an ego about superior knowledge on a subject matter while misusing terminology. And also pointing out the selectiveness of being pedantic about semantics by another someone

Just busting balls :stuck_out_tongue:

So I personally like going sock filter->lenticular filter(de)->lenticular filter(carbon)-> .2 micron cartridge filter.

When I first walked into the lab I’m at now all they had was a pig filter. It was horrible it purposefully leaks and is messy. The setup I presented is what I use now. It was easier to train on then the pig filter. Same concept as you are using an aodd pump. I will say Sambo has a nice looking skid that is already peer reviewed to run this exact aetup

link on skid?

I’ve ran similar to this for ethanol extraction

You could put the setup together for cheaper, having it already peer reviewed is sometimes nice and headacheless

Are you not doing ethanol extraction? What is the pig filter going to be used for?

I was just about to say:

This looks like something I built for ethanol extraction to clean up the tincture before winterization in 300l reactors with -40 chillers and then passed it through big boy filter press (pig is like a baby filter press) then onto more solvent recovery and decarb/devol before it hit the wiper.

What I’m doing now is making bho crude and throwing that into 5 to 1 etoh and throwing in a -86 freezer overnight then passing through a pig filter then solvent recovery then decarb/devol and the wiper

Don’t need all the charcoal and de to clean up bho crude.

But if I did want to clean things up for lle or crc or whatever you can load the pig with media of your choosing.

Then just go sock filter to a cartridge filter it will be a lot cleaner then the pig filter

But it’s not semantics is it?

You corrected the terminology.

I learned something. Guarantee I’m not the only one.

What about that is problematic?

What cartridges go you recommend

I don’t really disagree with you, ambiguity in language in general can be exhausting but I knew what was meant by p&id so I was being a smart ass making light of the ‘mistake’

Terps can be cleaned up with media by themselves as much as any cannabinoid, through filtration style or chromatography style methods.

My best clean up came from using alumina on microwave terps. This separation was a function of terpenOIDS being partially polar and sticking to the alumina. Those terps went from smelling “green” and grassy to full spectrum with mono terp nose. Partially polar terps oxidize immediately and spoil, so for water hash you have to be aware of these compounds.

Mother liquor isn’t a “terp fraction”, it’s an “everything non-polar non-cannabinoid but lighter than cannabinoid fraction”. That said, take everything you know about color bodies and apply it to the things you can think of which might be in mother liquor…if you’ve spent a good amount of time researching media filtration than you should see a good path towards clarified terps.

Are you a troll?

There’s no way you’re blatantly wrong about everything this much without being a troll.

I’ve seen and smelled some terps that @Zack_illuminated had…they were the shit.

Just throwing that out there.

I’m only thirty posts in, but “thermal evaporation effect” is not a thing. Maybe you’re referring to “evaporative cooling” which is definitely a thing.

Also what’s this hardon you have about rbf mantles? They work, that’s why they sell like hotcakes—sure, they’re not great at tracking set points precisely, but they work.

Zack made some CBDa for me that was fantastically good. Those guys are definitely serious about what they do!
