They are quite messy and if you don’t stack them right it can flow kind of slow. You’d be better off with a depth filter system (not depth by plates, your first plate is always going to get thrashed).
Sambo creek filters are also giant büchners but they work well for the task of c1d2 filtration.

I assume the problem you’re looking to solve is to confidently provide a client a winterization solution that matches some size of extraction and distillation.
To start I would least talk to some other equipment suppliers who offer winterization options. That will give you quick context for whats out there.
Some time in lab will help make sure your understanding of why the buchners aren’t working is correct. Is it ease of use or actual performance?
There’s probably a dozen options and it’s up to you as a paid consultant to find a good option that matches your client need. I’m not saying I have all the answers. I am saying that if you are just looking at buchners or Elliot’s recommendation, your client will suffer.

Ive used filter trolleys and dont like them. Just a big Buchner on the floor. Used droids again just a big buchner, used some other filter presses, more cbd than cannabis scale.

Small to large buchners: (filter trolleys and stainless table top units are all just Buchner) table tops units are more expensive and slower than pig ceramic Buchner and carboy and explosion proof Welch nearing price of pig also.
Other filter presses: start at 20k at lab society. Great for much larger scale
Lenticular? Haven’t seen used in rec canna besides for ethanol extraction to filter tincture
Bag filters? Haven’t seen used outside of a sweetleaf cls or with ethanol extraction to filter tinctire in rec canna. Never for winterization

I bought more than one pig filter from summit four or five years ago. It’s still being used. It doesn’t quit. Alex doesn’t understand the vernacular to untested hardware. Elliot brought plate filtering to the industry and since then there’s a pig filter in any serious lab. The pig filters that summit sells have more in field hours than most other products on the market.
I bought more than one and he sold it to me for less than what Alex claims. Summit sells the whole package with a lot of cool stuff at once. If you ask them to strip the unit down it costs less than the maple syrup company sells them for. Alex is super fucking rocked hard by elliots pizzaz.

What sold me was the numerous videos people post online of the sambo creek, lenticular and so forth. When you talk to summit they can forward you to links and side by side videos of people actually using the pig successfully with really high flow. Per gallon summits pig filter is the cheapest filter to opperate for consumables. You can compare experiences and ask owners of filters what they think. Everyone including myself have lenticulars sitting around collecting dust because the pig filter is so amazing.
The funniest clown move Alexis Texas tried to pull is making claims that the pig filter is a untested useless tool. Bruh, plate filters have been tested in numerous industries for a hundred years fam.
