Go fund me: KCA community D8 cart testing

I spent the last hour trying to figure out how to email this report to the donors, so they could have access to it first. There doesn’t look to be a way to email attachments to the donors.

Here is the report: KCA Labs GoFundMe Vape Testing Report May2021.pdf (366.7 KB)

What does the “2&” stand for on the RSA?

I’m find with releasing it to the public all at once. @MagisterChemist @moveweight any other donors agree?

For some reason Adobe screws up the <RL values that are in there

So all those samples were clean… correct? Interesting.

Keep up the good work KCA!

where’s all the data that Iontrap collected?

Thank you for releasing this data to the public.

I must say, unless I am an idiot as far as interpretation, this is a pleasant surprise.

So much for the fear mongering

Just looks like all these samples were actually distilled. We still haven’t found the nastiest yet, or tested the r/cannabees crude/undistilled conversions

Right but 10/10 random Kentucky carts are acceptable.

In the interest of harm reduction, I’d still like to see what harmful byproducts are in homebrew d8

I’ve seen one coa with cresol in undistilled crude from isolate, and this shows it even in distillates in small quantities

But yeah, iontrap seems to be a cannagarden shill or something. Who knows with all the fuckery from these shitty companies

This definitely puts my mind at ease

@iontrap

Gotta say I expected random selection to produce some real “winners” if you get what I’m saying.

The whole debacle led up to this being funded by the community to show in the end: at least in KY, purchasing a random d8 cart probably(if this is a good representative sample) won’t poison you with p-cresol or olivetol, or with residual solvents. (That isn’t to say there isn’t other junk that might be left in unknowns, but there doesn’t seem to be much buzz about any others in particular.)

@iontrap ends up being full of it with very little to show.

Is mine a fair takeaway?

We haven’t tested sketch edibles or converted crude yet publicly, but so far a lot of his claims aren’t verifiable

The claim to me wasn’t just “you could run a procedure that would be toxic” (who doubts that could happen?) But he was saying that this problem was totally endemic and nobody was doing it right. The impression was that if you looked at a random sample, it would be toxic more likely than not. That simply doesn’t seem to be backed up here…

I’d believe some wooks (am I using that term right?) put some downright nasty shit in some edibles for a quick buck.

But then, I also thought that that crap would be widespread in carts too…

Lil harder to hide total garbage in a clear cart I imagine

Remember when iontrap said something that ultimately amounted to “oh sure I’ll make an SOP that produces clean endproduct, but it’ll be designed to kill you idiots if you can’t do it right due to greed”? (Paraphrased)

That was a wild thread to keep caught up on back when I was just lurking.
