Company I started with was at $1.90 and risen to $2.44. I am now switching to another company that is at $2.19. That $.25 translates to 23k a year roughly.

Do you guys not have a grid connection?

Is that more cost effective than propane or, if setup, nat gas?

My dad runs a generator that runs on diesel, nat gas, crude oil, anything really. I’ve always ran Cummins and Cat when I was in the foothills. My dad would always say to try and find a way to get nat gas. It’s the cheapest. And cleaner to run.

Have you done the math on how long it would take for a solar battery combination to pay for itself?

Most cost effective thats not grid tied is natural gas turbines. The only bad thing is you need high pressure gas lines to run them. We had a study done at two locations and this is problem.

@that445guy Start up cost is crazy for a battery array amd for the future buildings covering the sun is a problem.

We have figured that running LED’S and having a glass roof is the way to go out here in the desert.

Can’t you run those things on CBD in MCT?

Surely you can get that for less than $1gal these days?

WVO (or any veg oil) needs cleaned properly before fuel use, and even then isn’t particularly kind on engines. But ā€œcleaning oilā€ isn’t rocket surgery

For generators, continuous or semi-continuous would be the most appropriate use case.

Shutting them down with veg oil in them is not a great idea, or so I’m told by folks who have played that game or had to clean up the mess…
