Gas Detector Fault

Hey Team,

Had a booth installed by HAL a few years ago. It has been mostly unused for two years.

Have never had an issue till last week. I had someone in there replacing hoses and when I turned it on next I started getting fault codes and my booth fans flipping to 100%.

Any help or thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated.

Hope everyone has a great week!

Hey there. Looks like the gas detector that is interlocked to the HAL panel safety features is in need of calibration. They drift over time and if it’s reading in the negatives at all it means you likely have a baseline error. i would call the company and ask for a rep to come calibrate. In the meantime, if you have one of honeywell’s magnet tools, you can interact with the interface and reset your baseline to 0.

You can also go into the HAL panel’s settings and change the trigger points for when the fan speed doubles. This may make the booth operational in the meantime.

Feel free to DM me if you think I can help.

IDK maybe address the fault on the gas detector and go from there?

Thank you! I may do that and reach out ASAP.

I appreciate that link. Thank you.

@Distillight I have had this W006 error before. It is a “Latching” issue for the internal connection on the transmitter. If there is no solvent in the area, take off the gray cover and on the XNX transmitter, you’ll see a brass connection on the top and the bottom. Ensure they are seated properly, retighten the gray cover and then do a bump test. The code should clear.

Here’s a link for the codes: Honeywell Analytics XNX Universal Transmitter Quick Start Guide r1

Hope this helps! Good luck

Fyi HAL went out of business last year. Iirc roller auction here in Denver liquidated a bunch of assets

Not sure if you still need help with this but I’d give Tony and Guardian Extraction Safety a call.
