Hey all, I’m sure some of you have already found and read this but Leybold has a really comprehensive little book/paper on vacuum technology that they offer up for free from their website. It’s helped me a lot in understanding and troubleshooting vacuum systems in my new distillation unit. It goes into detail the difference between Rotary Vane pumps and other types of vacuum pumps and also offers up some good troubleshooting guidance.
I wish I would have had this way back when I started and was spinning my wheels for weeks on end because I was still learning. Hopefully this is helpful to some of you all!
