I have a full setup 8610C with FID, spare 8610C with TCD detector, including a Peak H2 Generator, 2 spare terpene columns, a set of the Restek 3 way CBD CBN THC (some has been used) and 2 terpene standards covering most of the major cannabis terpene components (unopened) and some spare parts like ferrules and such.
H2 generator is a little finicky but it runs.

What would a TCD do for someone measuring cannabis/hemp?
honestly not much. Could maybe be used for pesticides but honestly that parts pere billion and this is parts per million. I got it for $600 and figured it was spare parts but honestly the 8610 is a sturdy piece of machinery. Right now it’s a spare part machine, someone smarter than me might know a good use for it.

says it can be used to test for hydrocarbon gases. Maybe a pre-test for residual solvent. Have to run a sample with no bh/pho and use that chromatagram to subraact from actual test runs. Also need to have some way to create standards to get butane/propane proportions.
