So if it’s 60% total thc, I would be wrong to assume that I would get more then 60% back?
Because I was assuming I’d get back the 60% thc plus extra because the distillate is 85 percent thc
You roughy get back yield wise what thc % is in the crude. Roughly…
I had crude that tested at 29% and I got a yield of 22% return after two passes

First pass- 65-70%
Second pass 45-55% roughly. It’s all material dependent

you will theoretically get around 750 grams, your actual mileage may vary.

Everyone seems to be saying different things. So I put 1000gs into the short path, you’re saying I could potentially get 750 I return of 85% ?
75% of 1000 = 750
I pull 75% on average every run, crude to mains

theoretically yes, but your results can very. The variance will be determined by all the variables in your process and the surface area of your glassware.

Always after
I only take weights or admire my work until after evap, purge, and decarb. Then I can pretty much guesstimate what my return will be.

Maybe you guys can help me with this too. So the crude is cryo ethanol, I’m used to butane. I’m not familiar with this process.
They say it’s winterized at -20, -40, then -60c.
They ran it through at -20 then -40 but when they went back to run it at -60, they couldn’t get it to -60 so they probably ran it at around -40 again.
Do you guys think that this is enough to have good resluts ? They lab tested it and the total thc was at 61.4%thc
I cryo wash etoh with dry ice. I dont even winterize, only winterizing is done during initial cryo wash.
Spin in panda spinner in 160iu bubble bag, then a 42iu bubble bag.
Let sit to room temp, buchner filter with celite 545 (only), rotovap, purge, decarb, spd.
