Freeze Dryer:

Hello. I want to buy a simple, cheap freeze dryer to fuck with some long term food and liquid storage options.

Anyone got any good cheap recommendations to start off with?

I have been searching for that information. I turned a deep freezer into a lager fridge for brewing and it was pretty simple. You can drill through 90% of the low end chest freezers lids, and they vac pretty damn well. Vac port, thermal probes, and wiring for heat mats through the lid. You can then setup a super easy python program to cycle the freeze dryer if you have the “curve”.

Harvest right.

Or as others have suggested build your own. If you are using it for hash I wouldn’t rely on a self built unit.

If freeze driers are outside your price range, have you considered making a cold room and air drying? I’ve seen videos on making a homemade cool bot, and it’s very simple and cost effective

Never heard of that before

Like a walk in freezer?

Exactly. The coolbot just needs to be hooked up to an ac unit to keep the room at walk in freezer temps. Insulation will definitely help keep it there.
