For Sale: Lab Society 20L Short Path Distillation Full Setup With Pumps & Cold Finger

Item Model/Manufacturer: Complete 20L Lab society short path setup with glass, pumps, cold finger and heater.

Description:

-Polyscience AP07H200-HR1B 7 Liter recirculating heater 115V with Duratherm oil (included in the original jugs). You don’t need Duratherm heater oil, can use propylene glycol or something, just be sure to only heat to temps allowed by the oil used. Individual price: $1,950

-115V 20L Lab Society Glascol mantle and all associated controllers. In the photos you will see the inside is black from spilling carbon in it on accident.

-20L branded Lab Society flask with 24/40 joint for temperature probe, 60/50 center joint for the distilling head, 34/45 joint to dump your oil into. There is a glass cap that goes into this joint that is included.

-The top joint on the 45/50 distilling head (second pic) is a temperature probe that attaches to a head temp controller (included)

-Going to the right, a 34/45 joint to a condenser. The polyscience heater attaches to this via silicone tubing

-Next glass piece is a single and a dual receiving swing arm for one or two receiving flasks.

-After that, is the piece the Bullseye vacuum gauge (included) plugs into.

-Dual glass cold traps

-Flexible vacuum hosing & all tri clamps and all joints to connect

-E2M28 115V rotary vane pump with dual voltage capability. Pump can be converted to 220V supposedly, but I have never tested this function. Disclaimer: pictured the pump was blanked off and observed to suck down to 40 microns. The pump oil has not been changed in months and I suspect this is keeping it from pump down further. Fresh oil should help go down more. Selling as-is. Comes with oil mist filter. Includes an installed couple inch long extension for draining the pump oil. This makes it easier to drain. Zoom in on photos to see. Individual price: $2,475

-Extractor depot rotary vane roughing pump 115V. This pump is cheaper and was used to distilling the heads fraction. The idea is that this pump would distill off terps & residual solvent and take the beating before switching to E2M28 for main fraction. Comes with pictured oil mist filter. Observed to pump down to 103 microns blanked off. This pump does seem to destroy oil faster than the E2M28.

-IP-100 Polyscience Immersion Probe chiller P10N6A101B. Easily chills to -80C can see in photo. Never have to buy dry ice for your cold trap. Can optionally include the wood stand it is sitting on in photo. Individual price: $2,250

-Bulls eye vacuum gauge pictured for measuring vacuum depth

-All metal vacuum valves pictured to get things connected

-All LAB SOCIETY BRANDED FLASKS pictured in the last photo: One 20L boiling flask, One 10L receiving flask, One 5L receiving flask, all other smaller lab society branded receiving flasks. There’s eight flasks pictured and they are all included. The cap looking thing and media bottle is not included. Cork flask rest stands included.

-Two glass receiving swing arms to connect to condenser. One piece allows two receiving flask to be connected. Another piece has one joint for one receiving flask.

-Apiezon vacuum grease for joints

There is a cross shaped vacuum join that connects the two pumps together with the whole system. The top joint connects to the cold traps. Left joint connects to the E2M28, right joint to smaller roughing pump for heads fraction, bottom joint is the vacuum relief valve.

Item Model/Manufacturer: 60/50 20L custom boiling flask Chinese glassware with caps, quantity: 2 – both have different length necks

Description: Extremely handy clamp neck flasks with a cap for a 60/50 head. Makes it easy to clean out so you can reach your hands inside the flask. Temperature probe joint is 24/40.
