For people with lung sensitivity, what factors should be considered when using inhaled cannabis products to reduce lung risk?

Cannabis smoke isn’t just toxicology—it’s a hidden danger we’ve long overlooked. We need to bypass it to unlock the full pharmacology effect of our healing plant.

When cannabis is combusted, it releases harmful byproducts like tar, carcinogens, and toxic particulate matter that damage the lungs, worsen respiratory conditions, and put sensitive patients at risk. These harmful particles can infiltrate the lungs, leading to chronic inflammation, lung damage, and even long-term health issues. Even occasional smokers are at risk.
The vaping market isn’t safe either. Many vape products, while marketed as sleek or “cutting-edge,” sacrifice health for appearance. Devices with toxic components and poor-quality materials put users’ lungs in danger, and are often prioritized over the true effectiveness of the device. Too often, the popularity of the vape pen is about style, not substance. This has led to a market flooded with unsafe products.
That’s where NSC AIR stands apart. We’re the ONLY true medical-grade cannabis delivery device, built to strict FDA standards, and designed specifically for patients who need clean, safe, and effective access to cannabis.

With our patented vaporization system, the NSC AIR ensures cannabinoids and terpenes are activated at the perfect temperature—nothing combusts, no harmful particles, just pure vapor.

NSC AIR is not just another vaporizer—it’s a medical-grade delivery device designed to protect patients. Built for hospitals, clinics, and healthcare systems, it ensures patients get clean, pure cannabinoids without the dangerous toxins of traditional smoking methods.
Doctors and dispensaries have a moral responsibility to provide safe and effective delivery systems—not just ride on the coattails of flashy marketing.
Your patients’ health is on the line. NSC AIR ensures they get the precise dosages of cannabinoids and terpenes they need, without harmful combustion byproducts.

It’s time to stop selling dangerous, gimmicky products. The industry needs real solutions. NSC AIR is leading the charge to ensure patients receive safe, medical-grade cannabis with every breath.

People with lung sensitivity should not be inhaling anything

This is a point of concern, especially for those with lung sensitivity issues." While it is prudent in principle to avoid inhaling any substance that may irritate the lungs, we should also recognize that it is critical for people who need to use medical marijuana to relieve their symptoms to find an appropriate way to ingest it. Therefore, for this population, it is recommended to consult a medical professional to determine the safest and most appropriate method of use. At the same time, there are a number of inhalation devices on the market designed for sensitive lungs, which may use gentler heating methods and filtration techniques to reduce the impact on the lungs. It is important that everyone should make informed and personalised choices based on their health

As someone with a family member who has compromised lungs… this is a terrible angle. Don’t try to push vaping on people who have sensitive lungs, there’s plenty of other ways you can sell your shit.

Yeah, looks suuuper FDA approved and medical bro.

Your point is very pertinent and I fully agree that we must take an extremely cautious approach when it comes to health and safety. I would like to assure you that we would never intentionally mislead consumers, especially those who are sensitive to respiratory health. Our goal is always to provide accurate, science-based product information. We have a lot of experimental data, please feel free to keep us engaged for more information

So you have anything for rectally vaping?

My family member has compromised lungs and only vapes through her anus.

Anal vaping will be huge in 2025

To anyone who actually cares about lung health and the continued possibility of inhalation as a route of administration, might I suggest developing a cannabinoid inhaler in the same wheelhouse as Albuterol?

Of course, this isn’t a novel idea, as I’ve seen it thrown around before, and I assume it can’t be marketed as well as other products in the space, but it’d probably be better than dabbing, vaping, or smoking cannabinoids depending on the components and ingredients used.

This is coming from someone who has had TWO collapsed lungs, right and left. My right lung collapsed 15 years ago and my left lung collapsed last week, I just got discharged from the hospital this Monday  I’m afraid to smoke, vape or dab now, but inhalation is my favorite RoA.

(And you can definitely call me stupid as I continued to “inhale” after my first collapse, but I was dumb 15 year old kid who thought he knew better. At least it wasn’t the same lung that collapsed, and it wasn’t because of weed either.)

What caused the collapse and how was it treated??

Spontaneous pneumothorax, caused by “blebs” or air pockets bursting, that I’ve had in my lungs since birth. Doctors have told me that this mostly happens to tall and skinny males, and when I was a kid I was told I was the poster child for this type of thing. They treated it by attaching a chest tube connected to a vacuum placed through my ribcage to suck out excess air that couldn’t escape otherwise and any other drainage like blood and mucus. Alongside a surgery to seal the holes in my lung and careful removal of any other unpopped blebs.

When my right lung collapsed 15 years ago, I wasn’t even smoking or doing any strenuous activity. It was my last day of summer school, and I had just passed the final math test. I went to take a walk around the school, and suddenly my chest started hurting and I was short of breath. It felt like someone took a sledgehammer to my ribcage. When I arrived at the hospital, they told me if I came 30 minutes later, I would’ve been dead. The collapse this past week wasn’t as severe, but since I’ve felt a collapse before, I knew it was the same deal.

You also may find it interesting that they were utilizing -40 mmHg of suction for the chest tube :stuck_out_tongue:
