Flammable material freezer flagged by DEA

I was wondering if anyone might know why the DEA flags Flammable Material Storage freezers. To purchase, the vendor is requiring a stack of paperwork be filled out. They say it’s to comply with federal regs (Title 21 Food and drugs, chapter 2 parts 1300-1399).

However I can’t find any info on freezers specifically. 1310.03 mentions tablet counting and encapsulating machines, but not other equipment. Is the vendor trying to cover its behind for liability reasons? Maybe I missed something. Curious if anyone else has experience with this.

because they’ve noticed that clandestine labs like to get their extraction solvent nice and cold just like the legitimate ones?

Oh wait, they don’t buy that any of us are legitimate…

edit: and I also don’t see anywhere in those reg’s that suggested your vendor is required to report anything. Who is the vendor?

That is exactly it…only the laws that support prohibition are meaningful or valid to them.
