I just happen to watch the video with discussing future 4200 on dude grows .com, I was so excited to find a forum that talks about the many facets of concentrates and the many ways to scientificly extrct them. I’m looking forward to talking and exchanging info. with you all, my first and most important technique I’d like to discuss with someone is the correct way, and equipment needed to make good shatter, I grow my own and make my own rosin with a press from DabPress, the rosin is good but I love shatter. If anyone can point me to the best place here on the site to get started I’d very much appreciate it. I know there is so much more that I’d like to learn but I need to start somewhere. Thanks.

Thanks for the link, WOW, I didn’t realize making shatter could be so technically advanced, I love reading about the process but saying this is over my head is an understatement. I think I’ve got a lot of reading to do before I get started down this road. But I’m looking forward to checking out this entire site as I can see that there are a lot of very smart and technically minded people here.

Yes you are correct, I’m definitely a noob when it comes to these processes, I’ve been reading a lot of the site and I’m hoping I can get to the point where I understand some of the technical information that I’ve been reading about. There really are some very technical processes and equipment being talked about . But I think I’m in the right place to learn more.
Step one: get $6000
Step two: order lil ole CLS from killa
Step 3: buy vacuum oven. (Used should be fine)
Step 4: buy SOP (instructions) maybe get a consult
Step 5: make dat wax son!
I would say that step one is the most important step.
I’d say it all depends on how big of a system they want would determine how much #1 could be! 6k could be a lot, or too little.

I’m just looking to start out small, I’m sure I’d have to save up for what ever setup I buy, but I’d never spend that kind of cash even if if I could afford it. I’m looking to make a few grams for my own use, plus I have to be careful how much I grow since I live in a non legal state.
Nah, you’re good man. Plenty of people in a similar situation make some fire extracts here.
There’s definitely a floor, I’d say if you’re going with a pre-made setup, you’re talking a grand, with all the extras, couple a hoses and a vacuum pump, maybe an ir thermometer.
For just running a passive cls, you can get a cheap vacuum pump, that’s a big chunk of savings right there.
But yeah, 6k is a lot of money, if you’re talking a few grams, not so for bigger amounts. It’s a grand premade, less if you diy. But you need a little bit of tinkering skills.
I’m in the UK, same situation legal wise … I bought a 250g cls for about £2k, plus another £900 for a vacuum oven.
If thats still too expensive, you can get a cheap starter system from aliexpress, then expand it to suit your needs.

I’m curious where about in the U.K. are you from? I lived in Peterborough for 3 years while I was stationed at R.A.F. Alconbury, I was an aircraft maintenance specialist on the F-5 from 1982-85.
Hey @Curious_Roberto yea I get what you mean as far as tinkering skills, but it’s all that technical internal workings that keeps me so interested in the whole process. I’m wondering if there is a chemistry book that would help me understand more of the chemical process that go on during the extraction process ( over using the word process). This whole thing is just soo interesting to me.
