A little background - I’m an equipment provider and working in Europe with CBD customers. I’m setting up a lab with an Asahi DN100 wiped film and the project requires CE equipment. The problem I’ve run into is the crude having higher viscosity as it sits in the feed vessel.
The CE stamped system does not currently have a jacketed feed vessel but plan on offering a jacketed version in the future after it has undergone the CE certifying process. The facility we are working in will most likely not allow heat lamps/guns to be used on the system so that is a last resort solution.
This is the system I have to work with so I am not switching brands but instead looking for solutions to manage changing viscosity of crude while sitting in feed tank. Should we just process smaller batches instead of filling the tank and deal with breaking vacuum more frequently?
I appreciate and welcome all constructive insight. Thanks!
We’re in the process of getting the jacketed feed tank CE but on the existing model it’s not. I have to come up with ideas to keep crude viscous with the existing feed tank. I’ll be glad to swap to jacketed but right now I’m working with what I’ve got.
