I just got an order in of alot of parts. (From china/greenmachine)
I sterilized every peice cuz the virus. Every single part. Holy shit i was blown away at how dirty new stuff is even if it looks clean. I normally clean new parts but never had to do so many at one time. It took hours
Know what ur paying for w pressure tested and cleaned huh
So wait. You can tap whip it still? I mean a master case is dirt cheap in dtla. I made a thread about a year ago about doing that and got FLAMED
I LUCKED out and nailed my pressure testing first go on my solvent tank this time. I was very pleased lol
We’ve run everything from 100% pure ntane to pure ISObutane, 50/50 ntane/propane, 100% propane… we now are using 70/30 butane/propane mix. I feel it gives us the best overall extract as far as terpenes and cannabinoids retained in high volume production setting. We run mostly live resin. Fully passive… around 60lbs solvent takes about 35 min to recover.
I think dtla could have counterfeit gas lol
I tapped like 6 cases of whip it awhile ago lol
Nah its real. Atleast what i used when i open blasted for years
Are there any cans of straight isobutane tryin to save $ in these trying times isn’t a bad idea
How are you recovering that fast?
Dual recovery? Details please
Weeeeee neeeeeed thhhheeeee deetttaaaiiiilllllssssssssss
Our solvent tanks sit at -62c on chillers… we have a boiler system for our hot water circulation. Basically it’s an industrial tankless water heater with a pump moving gallons of water at a time. Temp on system is set to 115F.
We do have dual recovery tanks but only so that we can load another sock in the column and soak it while the system is still recovering. We run a high volume production shop so down time is not something the owners want. We’ve “Frankensteined” a Bizzy 6/8 material rack, a PXP, and X10 together to be able to accomplish what we do.
Nice!
We basically do a full 8lb fresh frozen extract (60lbs solvent used on average) at -62c… 10 min soak (non jacketed/sleeved material columns), thru CRC (heated 6x12 jacketed column), recovery and pouring out in about 40 min total time… from first soak of column to pour out. Pushing no more than 50 PSI nitro thru column/CRC at very end to ensure full extract.
What temp is your crc set at? Just got a jacketed crc in my greenmachine order!
About the same as the collection column/pot. Right around 110-115 degrees. (Absorbants always baked then pre soaked before runs start.) I’ve noticed the heat seems to help the powders do what they do a little better than just a non jacketed filter. We get 8 runs thru one filter setup before we change it out for a new one.
8 runs?!
Your running fire though so that makes sense but got dayum.
Your blowning my mind over here lol
Yea cured resin we are gettin 4-6 runs thru a filter before change out. Just depends on quality of material going in.
Running AA, Silica, B80
Damn, we’ve only ever ran 70/30 blend. Always distill it first because the stuff in the bottom of the pot after smells gnarly and looks gross.
And it takes us 4 1/2 hours to fill, soak and recover about 40 lbs of gas for 2000g of material.
I’m thinking this website is going to help me speed that up a bit…
I will say one thing… after running passive and seeing what it can do, I’ll never run another recovery pump again! Thermodynamics ftw!
