Farm bill delayed for 1 year

"The future of the U.S. hemp industry remains on the line as lawmakers once again have placed a five-year farm bill reauthorization package on the back burner and instead agreed to a one-year extension in the final days of the current Congress.

Congressional leaders in Washington released a 1,547-page spending bill on Dec. 17 that intends to keep the federal government funded through March 14 to avoid a partial shutdown amid a looming deadline for the end of this week if they don’t act.

While the stopgap spending measure includes the final financial priorities under a divided government before Republicans take control of the Senate next month, it also includes funding for several other legislative matters that lawmakers failed to address earlier this year. Specifically, that includes reauthorizing the Agriculture Improvement Act of 2018 (the 2018 Farm Bill)."

nothing will ever reverse the opioid crisis in the US. in a “dog eat dog” society, it’s bloody obvious almost everyone is in so much psychological pain, they’ll take anything to dull it down.

and it’s only going to get worse with the Don and fElon.

It’s really funny how muricans keep cheering for Musk and stuff their tax dollars up his ass with his useless and fruitless ventures, and then they’ll cheer again when he tells them about misappropriated tax money. fucking classic murica

You’re charging people to teach basic chemistry on a drugs forum.

Musk is doing this:

You may cope and seethe: “B-b-but Elon didn’t do any of that!! He’s not smart enough!!”

Even if he didn’t design the rocket himself, he brought the funding and attention, and is so far the only one doing cool shit like this. Bezos has more money and isn’t doing anything nearly this cool

so basically you wanna suck elon off is what i’m getting, because you’re into stuttering con artists. gotcha

What’s the conclusion? SpaceX is a crypto-Nazi undercover effort using Elon Musk as the front man? von Braun is still alive?

I love it when this place turns into the ‘bitch about politics’ forum. So much fun.

“Hey can you pass the ham?”

‘CONGRESS AND ELON WOULD LIKE THAT TOO MUCH, WOULDN’T THEY?’

Just go populate the high brow political discourse on meatspin.com and leave the bullshit outside of here.

45 percent or so of our nations cash flows go through federal coffers. My guess is They take our cash flow and fund technologies etc. Then you take these technologies funded by the public, spin them off to businesses where the profits are privatized . Think Darpa . Cost born by public, profits captured by private oligarchs.

You can create globally dominant companies by seeding them with federal tax dollars through contracts subsidies etc. If Microsoft is the operating system of the government, and education system , they eventually become the operating system of the world.

Im not saying any og the following is a fact, just an opinion. Im not saying musk, gates, zuck, google founders etc were front bosses from day 1. The majority of the time imagine its more efficient to pick the best company of the bunch and fund them.

Fasb 56 is a rule where any public company is able to keep inaccurate financial information if it is necessary for national security. The ramifications of this are stunning and not understood by the general public.

Along the same lines. I would bet the writers of the 2018 farm bill knew rhe intoxiciating and thca loopholes would be used. Which would drive the price down as much as possible, and allow big business to vertically consilidate our industry as much as possibe, after we were enticed to give up our technology and genetics with the hope of a fair shake at the industry.

The low price point also leads to an increase of indoor growing, which increases the profits from the indistry for the electric company, and decreases the profits for the operator.

if a scenario is foreseeable/predictable, and leads to a conclusion that benefits the ruling class its safe to assume it was planned

I agree with a lot of what you say about the farm bill surprisingly, But ultimately even if certain people win economically weren’t we all in this to provide medicine for cheap anyways?

Speak for yourself. Not everyone is looking to run a charity

You don’t have to if you are One of the companies that remain standing at the end of it. Economies of scale teach us that reasonably priced products can still be sold at a volume in which you can run a small business, or if you are lucky a large business. But for this to happen the market needs to scale. In my opinion we can look directly to alcohol to understand the market and it’s development.

Anyways, was just surprised about how much we agree in that sense of why the farm bill was passed when we normally disagree about everything else LOL

MERRY CHRISTMAS @Cascade_hemp @Patsykilledtony
