You just described the black market I operated in 20 years ago homie…not much has changed
I really been noticing things lately…
Plant terps added in any, or to much for sure will cause bad throat irritations and lungs getting sore…I even get mucas more from plant terps. What’s to say someone w compromised system couldn’t get something way worse from vaping almost pure plant terps
We all really don’t know what vaping pure botanical terps will do to us yet. Up until extract you never consumed that much at once
Could plant terps someone be the cause? Ppl mixing them hot, just like n every dank and fake vape seems to be common thing w the ones I’ve seen
When I use real Canna terps I don’t get this!
For what it’s worth, I’ve noticed that with some black market carts the oil is shades even in the same batch. I’d once seen a solid contaminate just sitting in the cart. TKO carts (black market so I’m sure if legit or not) near the end where the holes are the tank gets these odd white marks where the holes are, almost like condensation or some reaction with the plastic.
Its the pladtic/silicone. When i fill carts with a syringe the distillate gets white whisps (I call them ghosts) as soon as any of the distillate that was in near contact with the plunger starts to go in the carts. On a 10ml syringe of raw distillate we can clearly see the host arising like a ghost mountain above the peak of the plunger. Like a ghost volcano erupting… I hate it. Its obviously not great, and it will turn a cart from water clear to cloudy and takes the entire cart warming up before it “disappears”. For context, it appears every pod and cartridge is sealed with silicone. Could this be caused by the silicone not being silicone but actually rubber/latex?

“There are reports of vitamin E-induced allergic contact dermatitis from use of vitamin-E derivatives such as tocopheryl linoleate and tocopherol acetate in skin care products. Incidence is low despite widespread use.”
-wikipedia
It’s very important to note which form of vitamin e it is, and I suspect that these allergies could be at play, and the type of vitamin e it is could make a huge difference. Maybe someone “realized” it was just vitamin e and used some random form of it that is more dangerous then alpha tocopheryl acetate. That or all these people shared an unknown allergy to the acetate form of alpha tocopherol. If it causes dermatitis, imagine how it would look applied to the lungs…
I think you should maintain a positive drug test for thc to participate in the market with me. If you don’t actually smoke, I don’t wanna buy off you. I have met some of the people that cut carts and they don’t smoke. They are in the industry for money, not because of passion.
I’m not too sure, I want to start making carts and at the moment I’m getting all the hardware together. I’ve seen some talk of glass syringes being an alternative option, maybe that could help with the wisps. I was planning to use wax instead of disty just because the low availability where I am.
That wisp is usually the lube from the syringe plunger. I always clean body and plunger with ethanol before use.
So at the end of the day these cutting agents are vitamin E based. As long as you are not allergic to vitamin E you should be ok to vape it. Instead of paying $4 a g for them, we could be distilling them ourselves. ![]()
Terpenes are a solvent also, to much and it would notnonly taste bad bur could do harm. Just my 2 cents.
I definitely agree. I was just pointing out where people might feel justified/safe using terpenes that can be harmful, just because they are terpenes.
This is a result of a hyper regulated market, not an under regulated one.
Go to a farmers market and look at how many people there are buying the conventionally grown stuff vs the biodynamic holistic stuff.
Don’t let the government trick you into believing that people are inherently bad and that government is the only thing that can save you.
Government made cannabis illegal, which automatically attached criminals to cannabis. Prohibition is why you have sketchy drug dealers.
No prohibition of fruits and veggies combined with a relatively free market (farmers market) = consumers making their own educated decisions.

I think you’re confusing bad regulations with good regulations.
Good regulations ensure a standard level of consistency of a product. Good regulations ensure people don’t die due to consumption of a product. Good regulations are the very reason why you can buy produce at the supermarket without fear of dying due to harmful bacteria, or the reason why you can buy alcohol and be sure you won’t go blind due to consumption of it.
People aren’t inherently bad or good, same goes for government, but greed is greed and there will always be greedy people trying to cheat the market, unregulated markets are easily exploitable and our market does not have a unified regulatory system to ensure consistency.
Prohibition is not good regulation, by the way.
If we were to follow the trend of the “good regulations” in the supermarket that you mention. This one vape cart problem would be business as usual. They should do a recall and we should expect a few more before the year is out. This is exactly the mentality that future is eluding to about the government tricking you into thinking it’s safe to buy food at the supermarket.
I’m not trying to get bogged down in the nuances of regulation - there’s good regulation, and bad regulation, period, but let me ask you this - do you go shopping for food and routinely wonder will this make me sick? Probably not. Consumers of cartridges have an acute fear of them being cut, or being fake entirely. If they were being sold over the counter and regulated, fake carts wouldn’t be a thing. You don’t go and buy vodka only to find out it’s water.
Actually being a former chef, I inspect each and every item I buy from the store to cook. I have a rule, 2 days for leftovers, and 5 days on lunch meat from the deli. Then in the garbage.
I’ve had food poisoning many many times in my life. None since I’ve been super picky about my food choices.
Look at the fucking ingredients in most food. Tell me you trust it…processed food is not good for your health…period. You like that pink slimy my dude? The government is made up of people who dont understand what they are doing or why they are doing it…they are completely disconnected from the reality they govern.
There is food sold on shelves in America that is illegal to sell in other countries because their standards for food are higher. I read ab article many years ago about a shipment of beef that mexico rejected because of heavy metal contamination. Guess who got that shipment because our standards were lower…America.
Meruca…fuck yeah. Coming to save the mother fucking weed game! I dont think so homie.
So because our government regulations aren’t good enough we just shouldn’t bother? I don’t get your argument dude. Shall we just continue to allow the sale of bad carts? Let the black market run things entirely? Fuck all regulation because there’s inept regulatory systems?
Ya’ll have some weird logic.
I’m saying your placing your faith in a false diety. This is life. Some people are greedy and other people are stupid. Get them together and you have America.
You literally cannot regulate a shitty person into compliance in any trade or industry. Shitty people do shitty things…its kinda their deal. Regulate all you want…all you’ll do is regulate yourself out of a job or make a booming black market.
