Experiences and Opinions regarding various backpack sprayers/foggers

I’m looking around on the internet to pick out optimal backpack sprayers/foggers. So far there seems to be a lot more available than I remember in the past, likely due to the rise in popularity of commercial disinfecting/cleaning services. I had used one of my buddies like two years ago that was a still had some sort of electric charging thing it would do at the end of the blow tube to make the particles stick on to the plant, and apparently it was a prototype and it would just continually shock you as you sprayed unless you were wearing rubber gloves  Not that I’m looking for that, or even wording it right, I’m just unable to find them and thought maybe some of you guys here have preferences, or more experience using these backpack foggers. I’ve used them extensively I just haven’t gone out hunting for them myself.

I’ve found a few options on Amazon that are curiously cheap, considering the Stihl one sells for like $800 retail. Theres what appears to be a Korean version of a power backpack fogger retailing for $480, that’s pretty much identical to the Stihl.

Anyway I searched around and didn’t see a specific thread regarding this piece of equipment, and figured it might be helpful to someone searching in the future, even if this is a forum mainly dedicated to processing. If anybody has any preferences as far as back pack sprayers go I want to hear it. And no, I’m not going to be purchasing an orchard sprayer, yet, but I’d love to hear what people have to say about them.

Pretty sure this is the one I use and it’s fucking awesome. I go out of my way to keep this exact style. I never ever use the strap though, kicking around somewhere. Protip though, keep the hose and nozzle lower than the tank and it sprays harder, sometimes point down and bang it against your shoe to drain excess water that builds up if it doesn’t seem like its spraying so hard, also. They’re fucking awesome

You ain’t killing any sort of infestation off with a pump sprayer! Haha

Flowzone sprayers.

Great product, great support. Rechargeable lithium ion battery. Lots o coverage!

Ditched my atomizer, cause 1) cords suck 2) 2 gallons is never enough & 3) particle size can be to small for some pests.

My .02¢

Careful when using on russet or broad mites these will blow them off before your shit kills them.

I use the Petra fogger. Can’t say I’ve used a bunch but its lasted me a couple years so far and gets the job done fsho

yep fighting the microscopic assholes this year I found best results with pump sprayer… took me a few weeks to figure that out

definitely might pick up one of these, glad there’s something battery powered to add to the list now. I foliar KNF ferments and LAB and what not and one of my concerns would be something getting clumped up, in any sprayer.

Dry fog atomizer

More thorough coverage than a Hudson while using way less.

Our go to in the garden is the battery operated 4 gallon Hudson sprayer. They take a beating being used 3x per week in veg and transition, but perform well.

55 gallon barrel (or whatever size you need for your batches of spray), sump pump, hose, multi mode garden wand

Used this on my outdoor this year and will never go back to a standard sprayer…

Foggers seem interesting.
