An epiphyte is a plant that grows harmlessly upon another plant (such as a tree) and derives its moisture and nutrients from the air, rain, and sometimes from debris accumulating around it. Epiphytes, that may be found in every major group of the plant kingdom, differ from parasites in that epiphytes grow on other plants for physical support and do not necessarily negatively affect the host.
The term epiphytic derives from the Greek epi- (meaning ‘upon’) and phyton (meaning ‘plant’). Epiphytic plants are sometimes called “air plants” because they do not root in soil.

Nepenthes bokorensis, sometimes called the “penis plant” or “penis flytrap,” is a critically endangered species of carnivorous plant found primarily in the southwest mountain ranges of Cambodia. Known for its distinctly phallic appearance, the flytraps have caused a stir online as tourists keep posting selfies of themselves holding it — prompting the Cambodian Ministry of Environment to beg them to stop.

If you take those tamarinds and you put them in a mason jar and then add maple syrup and let them sit for a couple weeks they will be the most amazing tamarinds you’ve ever had in your entire life!
