Exotic Plants & Flower Pics. NO cannabis or hemp

Thanks, @StoneD. I’m looking into throwing in another 100 or so fresh lily bulbs in the next couple weeks to fill out some extra space I’ve got.
That’s gorgeous @Capttripppp. There’s so much beauty in even the simplest little flowers.

Not a fan because it’s so invasive on my property but this bittersweet has nice lil blossoms.

Sulfur Cinquefoil

Perforate St. John’s-wort

Planted a few different types of Sweet William last year.

Spiraea Japonica/Japanese Spiraea

Black-Eyed Susan with a lil friend hangin’ out. Think it’s a Goldenrod Crab Spider.

End of the season so the petals are kinda sad but sunflower with 4 happy bees.

Milkweed in bloom also with seemingly content bee.

Not exotic at all but the Goldenrod in the fields on the farm explode with color in September.

Nightshade is the worst. I have it growing into my yard from all of my neighbors. Damn near impossible to get rid of!

I harvested showy milkweed for a seed supplier a loong time ago now.

That was super fun!

I also had some sweet william in my garden, it’s a pretty flower for sure. My favorite was the deep red ones we had.

I swear I’ve been pulling bittersweet out for a decade now at my house and farm. We have so many cardinals dropping seeds from the berries out in the woods that I doubt I’ll be getting rid of it any time soon. Worst we had though was a severe Japanese Knotweed infestation. It popped up one year and took about 4 years to really get it under control but we finally got it out.

Ah man, that’s awesome. I’ll probably pull some seeds off the strongest plants I can find next season and hopefully build up a nice stock.

The deep red ones are lovely. We only started with 2 kinds of sweet william I think. Pretty sure the neighbors have some different varieties. We’ve had a ton of new blossoms pop up the past couple years. Our local bees have been working overtime.

Thanks. I really like it. I think I got it from Lowes.

There are so many different varieties it gets overwhelming but there are tons of cool ones. I recently discovered they aren’t always true perennials, depending on where you live. Crossing my fingers that most of the ones I put in come back next spring but we’ll see.
