Exotic Plants & Flower Pics. NO cannabis or hemp

Doesn’t have a very long bloom period but this fritillaria is an interesting one.

Got a few really cool Peony-blooming tulips

And these are some parrot tulips that are really cool.

Got a few different kinds of bearded irises. Just planted 12 new varieties a week ago. Super excited for their blooms next spring.

These are blue flag irises. I think they’re siberian but I’m not positive.

A Japanese iris (I think.) Got this one as a surprise in a container that had a different cultivar listed. A pleasant surprise to say the least.

My absolute favorite flower I care for. Some sort of a lady slipper that was gifted to my grandmother about 25 years ago. Finally started blossoming three years ago.

This peony came from my great-great grandfather so I’d say it’s approaching 45 years old. The blossoms are the size of my head.

Picked these up for my buddy and his wife. They should enjoy them!

And had to get another flat because I would be stupid not too at the price per plant

Not really exotic per-say, but pretty all the same

I’m thinking I may need to put more flowers in come spring.

Balloon Flower

Double Balloon Flower

Butterfly bush

Threw a bunch of coneflowers in the past couple years. The local pollinator populations are big fans.

Speedwell/Veronica

Yellow Toadflax

Spiderwort

Giant Globe Allium

Stokesia

Pink peony that popped up last year from some cross pollination with a neighbor’s peony.

Very basic but lilacs are my absolute favorite flowers. The smell is absolutely intoxicating to me.

Beautiful! What’s the specific cultivar for the balloon one? I guess I could just Google it, but I’m about to rest my eyes for a bit

Platycodon grandiflorus ‘Double Blue’ is the double and I believe the single is ‘Fuji Blue.’

Sweet! I’m going to go find me some. Can you shoot me a pic of the foliage? It would really satisfy my curiosity, and I appreciate it. Again, I know I can Google, and will. But your plants are beautiful I’m sure! No reason not to share

I have a bunch of balloon flowers, just the single variety, but they are lovely. Definitely look like a bunch of blue and white balloons when they are in full bloom.

I’d have to say those, my blanket flowers, and the bachelor buttons I have are my favorites.

Nice garden good sir!
