I know this has been brought up a few times before but what about implementation of a side chat?
I could see being able to quote people from the thread into the chat so you can respond to them w.o detailing the thread.
Sorry if this has already been decided as not gunna work but it seems like it might be worth a shot

P.S if people stop posting popcorn emojis and things like “early start to the fight today”, “can’t wait till so-and-so read this” and other bullshittery a lot of the shit would stop before it gets started
Collectively there has to be less poking of the bear and instigation. Pretty sure it boils down to ego and the classic having to hit your sibling last to win the fight

Integrated into the actual forum so you can respond in real time to comments being made on a thread but without replying on the thread. I imagine a little arrow you can click on the right side of the screen that would expand the “chat room” and each thread would have its own chat. Idek if this is something that’s possible
Edit: the matrix chat is good though I have been enjoying that as an extra lil chat room for random banter and the “invite only” side deff had some good convo going the other day.

When you reply to someone it shows this little arrow next to their name
Click the arrow reply as linked topic
Probably best to keep this in the echo chamber
