Would you recommend buying a used ets 1300 or a lil terp v2 OSS system? Greetings
OSS unit looks way more versatile, I have ran a 1300 alot and hate the way the collection is set up.

I’d take this over the OSS… The lil terp has no spool, has a pour spout… But real life runs say I’m eventually going to over recover and I’ma have to redilute and recover to get it out.
Never run the OSS but it looks fairly similar to the 1300 honestly… unjacketed column, directly into a jacketed pot, then a hose to the sieve and then to the recovery pump…
I have run the 1300 hundred of times. That was the first extractor I ever ran so I love that machine lol might be a little biased.
It’s all about preference and budget tho… And what end product you’re trying to make.
Both OSS and ETS equipment will get the job done. ETS isn’t cheap but it’s good quality and I have always had a great experience working with them and always recommend their extractors.
OSS will save you some money tho and they still make pretty nice equipment. And the collection pot on that Lil Terp looks like it has some added features that the 1300’s doesn’t, like the pour spout, the sight glass, and the designated PRV (on the 1300, you have to use a PRV that comes separate and you plug into the quick connect on the lid of the collection pot after you disconnect the hose).
But if I were you, I would ask someone who has run the Lil Terp before buying one.
OSS all day. do a bunch of runs, generate revenue, purchase components for a larger system, hardline larger system and outfit with all swagelock valves and prvs.
spend less on your steel and that way you can spend more on your ancillary. heaters chillers and pumps all cost more than the system does
