Is there enough interest, and in the forums opinion justification, to petition the USDA to allow for the use of USP Grade ethanol in organic extraction? Assuming a solvent free end product is the goal, then the requirement to use costly organic cane based alcohol is unnecessary and costly. I’d love to hear feedback both for and against. Here’s the petition process: https://www.ams.usda.gov/sites/default/files/media/NOP%203011%20Petition%20Procedures.pdf

So less about ethanol for extraction of hemp than getting usp ethanol approved as an organic solvent. Got it.

Wanna hear a funny joke?! The state of Alaska doesnt recognize ethanol as a solvent at all… so any etho extract is technically solventless… bahhaha!!! Sorry just makes me laugh but we only run ADA certified 200 proof kosher ethanol. Expensive yep, but clean AF
