Ergonomic Wrenches

I’m wondering if anyone has found a good ergonomic, ratcheting 3/4" box wrench or wrench grips? I’ve managed to give myself a work comp claim for my thumb due to overuse and developing a trigger thumb. I’m pretty sure it’s from where the handle of the wrench presses on my thumb as I tighten rings. Currently using this style wrench: Klein Tools Ratcheting Box Wrench 11/16 x 3/4-Inch 68205 | Zoro

Snap on and mac wrenches are way easier on your hands than cheap ones in my experience but it’s been a few decades since I was turning wrenches in my dad’s shop.

It’s the shape and weight distribution or something but if you turn wrenches everyday you can easily tell the difference.

You need to be using spark-free tools.

Well you don’t need to but you probably should.
Bvv makes a spark free wrench but not an affordable spark free ratchet.

Any recommendations for torque and sockets?

You can put these on a torque ratchet.

Repeated stress causes all sorts of problems

Just as a general reminder though… Don’t overtighten your nuts!! (Not saying your are!)

I think we’re all guilty of it, and that kinda thing can cause some serious damage to equipment and people.

I actually don’t have a problem with the price if it was ergonomic, but it doesn’t look like the right wrench for my needs. Thanks.

Agree with all of it.

The offset version of that same wrench is great.

those affect the torque value unless used at 90 degrees

Yea good point.

Something with a twist sorta like these helps spread the pressure out.

I used to wrap a layer of carboard and duct tape the heck out of it to make a softer handle on my bigger wrenches back in my pipefitter days.

These would be really great for me if they had a ratcheting end because they have the broad side of the handle oriented properly.

And replace your nuts frequently!

What size do you need? I’ve got a lot of extra wrenches, If I’ve got the size you need I can just heat up the handle and make it however you want it.

I need a 3/4" ratcheting box wrench. I actually think I’ve got a viable solution. Thanks for the offer. I think metal skills are super cool, and I like people who have them.
