Epimerization of cis to trans thc

Ok it s been a while that a enlightment crossed my cortex

If isomerization of cbd results in cis Thc d9

And we could figure out a reagent that by means of epemerization changes it s shape to
Trans thc D9 ot worse case trans thc D8

We should be able to reverse the D8 > D9
With potasium tert butoxide
And end with a reaction

Cis-cbd > cis thc> trans thc > trans thc d9

@eyeworm @roiplek @eyeworm

Things to figure out first
Does thc D8 isomerized from thc D9
Give a difffent high (receptor affinity) than
Thc D8 isomerized from cis cbd

In other words is thc isomerized cis thc D8 from cbd
And is natural trans D9 isomerized to trans D8

Since @Kingofthekush420 showed this to me it s been on my mind as how to fix

The epemerization reaction are often preformed with strong Lewis acids
Is say ptsa strong enough to not only Isomerize
But also preform epemerization on cis cbd > thc
Or would an ever stronger acid be needed ?
The analysis of these trails will be hard to find
But I wonder if simple spectroscopy could indicate this
The diffraction of the light should be difrent
From cis and trans

Anybody observed this on hplc
I have not !! So the question is then why ?

O brother

If you could take d10 and reverse it back to D9 youd get a mix of isomers fom my understanding, you could also take d10 and hydrogenate it into hhc and get 4 different isomers if i remember correctly
