Mine were all different within about a 15g range, last time I measured some

Same with any jar, my ball jars are the same.

give or take ~7-8grams?

last time I played this trick I had 3 out of 5 with the same weight. to the gram. and two that were fairly similar and 14 or 15g heavier.

I actually am planning to put a big sign on the wall that says “PLEASE WEIGH ALL VESSELS BEFORE USE” or something like that. I forgot the last two times

I do that now. Every new case upon getting back to my spot, gets weighed and it written in 2 spots on the jar.

I asked a similar Q months back. Seems as though I shorted the guy 10g, I gladly tossed the 10g I was short.

Yeah man I can deal with shorting 10g bc they will let me know lol

If was over 10g you never hear anything… Not even thank you bc they afraid you’ll charge them

Lids were all pretty close, but can’t remember. What’s the tolerance on those and the bands, while we’re at it.

Also has anyone found an elegant solution to keep from dribbling when those are poured?

I may end up transferin the whole thing if I can figure it out…
@Concentrated_humbold was that a guess off memory? Sorry not trying to question you

if you can transfer, don’t you have an empty jar you can weigh?
with or without lid and band…

or the last liter you did?

Lol most likely not the same jar or he wouldn’t be asking. That’s why I’m asking

Yeah only reason I’m asking is disty is a sticky pain in the ass… I guess I’m gonna have to heat it up some and pour it out and weigh it…

How do you get everything out one these…pour as much as I can, then sit back on hot plate to drain to bottom then pull out w syringe?

How do y’all go about pulling large amounts out

how many empty jars do you have?

once I’ve poured the bulk, I’ve inverted the old jar on top of the new, lined up lips and left a heat gun pointed at the top one… and just wandered away… and not regretted it.

I recommend all but the wandering away.

AND secondary containment in case it all goes wrong…
