I’m pretty sure the e2m80s are like 13k new. The e2m30 and 28 are around that price new

I have e40 and e80 rebuilt pumps with a rebuilt blower ontop available. We just got a huge inventory and they go for a couple thousand more with the blowers.

Would it be safe to run a blower on a short path?, ive never tried but always wondered if it might be too much and implode the glassware. @spdking

Nope. They don’t really increase vacuum. They move molecules under vacuum better.

So would you say that the blower acts more like a diffusion pump when used with an SPD? Would you recommend a a blower over a diffusion pump, and which would be most efficient?

It’s a little different. Diffusion can go alot lower and it’s fast. But if you have general non diffusion needs like regular vacuum and not uhvp then you use a blower to boost the opperating curve of the oil vane pump. It add a extra stage. It can get lower and faster but it isn’t in the uhvp below 1 micron range.
