Easy pesticide/mold removal

Hey everyone.

Im sure alot of people have this issue…your systems get contaminated with pesticides or mold…

Would running bleach water or high powered steam through the system remove this?

Stainless…

What are you guys doing? What are some options for lets say removing residue from CLS or piping/tanks

Take care guys!

Those two things will kill the mold, but will not remove the biofilm - and any underneath the top layer will probably go on living.

Its best to take things apart and give them a good mechanical scrub - and then hit them with soap and bleach to get the most micro-organisms out. Like @StoneD said, most best not to put this kind of stuff into your rig - always hard to get it all out.

For pesticides - knowing which one is important. Alconox is a good alkaline cleaner, but won’t necessary get everything AND then you have to get the water back out as well. So plan accordingly for drying and rinsing - don’t want to leave any NaOH behind or the EDTA surfactant either.

Good luck and tell us what you decide and if it works!

I’ve been told that running the contaminated parts through a household dishwasher with strong detergent took care of a clients issues- I’m assuming high heat and strong detergent would be a solution but I cannot confirm this to be totally true
