Does the ambient pressure influences parameter while pressing rosin?

Hello, I just had an idea but I am not sure if it will do anything good.

My thinking was what if I have a press in a Vacuum Chamber?

I thought maybe through vacuum and the resulting boiling points it might be easier to press rosin?
But then I recognized that the Press will put pressure on the material so is the vacuum for nothing?
I cant get that dialed into my head.

Thanks for your answers!

I sort of see where you’re coming from, like trying to coax a liquid out from the squish

But as you said, I think the dominant force for flow is the squish itself

The issue with it, then, is that depending on your plate temperature you risk stripping terps under vacuum…which would be nakedly counterproductive.

I really like where your head is at! But if the boiling point is lower wouldn’t it be a much shorter window of opportunity to get a good amount of terps out of the squish? In my mind’s eye I see it happening like if you left a large chunk of rosin on the plates for longer and then took it off - still looks hella nice but almost crystally and dry. Nonetheless that would be cool as hell to try! I’m sure some simple math would be able to see what percentage of your normal heat you’d have to use though so it’s not like all is lost
