Hello friends, do you recommend buying with them? I’ve seen people who apparently hate them in some Facebook groups, I just want a small 2.5lb CLS and with them I see it at a good price. regards!
They are notorious for being a really hard company to deal with. Ive never purchased anything with a warranty so i dont know how that would go, but i avoid them and accross every chance i get

I won’t do any business with open source steel. They don’t understand customer service. They’re very close to me, and I could easily spend thousands with them. Ever since Dominique (one of their customer service agents) wanted to yell at me for his mistake I’ve officially boycotted them.

To answer your question tho, I used to order a lot from open source and personally never had a problem. Mega fast shipping to Oregon, and cheaper prices than most. Got a glass cow once with a crack In it and they sent me a new one right away.
Granted obviously their customer service sucks according to all above, I didn’t have an issue.

I have ordered small stuff from them three times (spools, clamps, adapters). They screwed up my order and either forgot parts or gave me the wrong parts two out of three times. The last time I ordered from them they didn’t ship until almost 2 weeks after I ordered, even after they told me they shipped twice. So I was extra pissed when I didn’t get all the gaskets I ordered and just went through amazon and didn’t bother contacting them about it.
Next time I need anything, I’ll be going through @Killa12345 at quality stainless parts. He takes care of his peeps and isn’t afraid to send you to his competition if they have something that would better suit you that he doesn’t have. It also doesn’t hurt that he’s helped me and many others a ton on this forum. It says a lot about someone when they just want to help you succeed, regardless whether you’ve spent any money with them or not.

avoid ordering whole systems… or anything with gaskets or sights or npt from them.
for basics like caps they are fine.

I run an OSS CLS the size you describe. I bought it used for pennies on the dollar. It was pre future4200. I was, at the time, eyeing killa12345s extractors he had on Ebay. I went with what I did because it was a steal…literally it was probably stolen. if I hadnt, I’d have bought from killa12345 and that was before I knew what a stand up dude he is…

Same thing with me. I started off with a small 1# tube planning on some R&D open blasting outside.
Then I bought something small from killa on eBay and I ended up with this.
