Do you print your logo on and customize your carts from China or simply sell generic?

I’m hoping to gain some valuable feedback for vape oil brands that are on here requesting customization for vape hardware.

We’ve manufactured for many legacy and licensed brands in the market today from Jetty and Moxie to Blue River and Trulieve, etc. All of these brands spend significant dollars on customization costs as they desire to build valuable brand equity.

In China, the process to customize carts is highly flawed, often causing delivery times to be extended out from 4-8 weeks - depending on supplier and current shipping times.

On average, printing is outsourced by nearly every factory in China and charge about $.03 per color/location - so a 3-color warning logo is going to add another $.09 to your cost and naturally certain reseller’s mark up the costs even further. We often charged $.05 per color at AVD.

In addition to long delays in delivery, added costs and then dealing with expensive airfreight that adds another $.15-$.17 per unit - you’re typically dealing with extra costs of $.30 or more for simply adding your logo or warning label.

This is often a major barrier for smaller operators that don’t have the cash flow to pay deposits, meet larger MOQ’s and absorb the extra printing costs to do so.

We recently found a distributor in CA that does localized UV printing that is pretty amazing. Something we’ve been looking to do forever, but couldn’t figure out the right equipment and inks to do it properly. @UniteXAveo has the ability to do small batch custom orders within days with great quality using child safe inks out of California. This is one alternative to customization out of China, as they can dramatically increase the turnaround times to days instead of months waiting on your order. Another solution, we have been working on is automated labeling. We’ve already done some test runs with some brands and many of our customers claim that the clear PET labels that we can apply are actually better quality look and feel overall.

Better in cost. - We can do a 3 color print for about $.04 (instead of $.15)
Better in production time. (we can do in about 2-3 days instead of 3-4 weeks)
Better in that they can be removed by the customer if they are traveling on a plane

We made this automated labeling machine designed specifically for 510 cartridges ourselves and we are wondering if the demand and value is there, if we should send our machines to the states, so we can do this locally and offer affordable, small batch customization at incredibly low prices and fast delivery times.

We have heard of some groups applying warning labels manually. I can’t imagine that being fun or efficient. Our machine can apply about 90 labels per minute, which allows us to keep our costs low.

Attached, is a sample that we did recently where the customer loved the results and the cost savings.

Anyway, we appreciate any thoughtful insight and perspective. Thank you.
