Distilling Rosin? Yeah?

Son you do know that the Hippie Generation that your hell bent on dissing paved the way for today’s legalization . Neither me nor my Hippie friends smoke flower and we havent for years. why?? years of smoking bong hit and joints have left us with COPD Vaping and Edibles are our thang now!! We leave the Hydrocarbons to you.:+1:

I’m sorry if I came off rude sounding. I’m not hating on the hippy generation that paved way for legalization just the ones closed minded about other methods for cleaner medicines.

My suggestion was a serious one for making your carts as well and I think you can have promising results with strains that are low in lipids and waxes

Nope I might re-locate to the Cleveland Oh area in a couple of years. :sunglasses:

The numbers I have seen with hash rosin are:
FF flower @ 3% yield to bubble hash
Bubble hash @ 70-85% yield to SHO.

Most 4 star or 5 star hash will yield between 50-79 percent when pressed efficiently. You can hit 80-94 percent with true six star hash. Been pressing for my facility over 6 months and ive only been able to hit 81 percent thus far as my personal best. Happy squishing

I’m not sure you understand what solventless means

heat it up for about 20 hours in a closed vessel. about 55°C and you should be good. it also doesnt have to fully decarb. Ive just made some carts last week and had them for about 12 hours at 70°C in the decarboxylation vessel and they turned out nicley :))

Hell this thread is straight comical after 3 years of rosin evolution.

Several take aways…

  1. BHO is now fucking worthless
  2. Hippies now love vaccines
  3. Everything fucking changes… don’t get too comfortable

AKA the only true constant is impermanence

Rosin is good but most bho is better than most rosin. If bho had the same input material as rosin (whole nugs) then I think that bho would be able to compete and possibly win against a rosin. Problem is, I can’t blast a 2000 dollar lb of nug and get 25 a gram these days. People wanna pay 10 dollars max retail. So here we are stuck running trim. You guys make rosin from trim?

Nope. At least I don’t.

I miss good nug runs. Nowadays the only nug runs I get are people that can’t sell their pot. It’s always got a few beans in it or Larfy…

Fuck holy grail, kosher kush, LA confidential, Darkstar, cherry pie, green crack, timeshare og. I’ve ran so many fire lbs that leaves behind memories. All the trim runs are just a blurry haze of mids

Nothing but fresh frozen nug runs with the live rosin we makeUploading: 20211203_104212.mp4…

I know a few producers who’d run their own sugarleaf/popcorn from the small amount of flower they actually would trim for headstash for “food grade hash” then isolate the thca for formula use. Don’t know of anyone who’s actually trying to produce using trim nor the people who’d be willing to take that taste.

Someone say nug runs??

The flower market is really tough right now so I’ve been getting all sorts of nugs to run. Even packaged lbs of ready to sell flower. But that’s the benefit of vertical integration. It’s easy for me to print a spreadsheet that shows running the flower will be more profitable if I turn it to an extract.

Grabbed a truckload of material, was all turkey bag trimmed full terms. Paid 15, fucking turkey bag costs $2. This person solution to low prices is just grow 2x the amount. Seems like a solid plan that got everyone in this decline in the first place.

Dude could save so much cash using unscented garbage bags

50 100gal unscented garbage bags cost like $60 shipped or 12¢/gal

200 5gal turkey bags cost like $60 shipped or 60¢/gal

I don’t get people’s lines of thinking sometimes
