Dilution question

Dumb question here. So I’ve made a bunch of CBD oil using hemp and MCT oil (infusion). I’ve got several gallons that I want to dilute to 15mg/ml and 30mg/ml strengths.

I can calculate and add the correct amount of MCT oil (i think, lol), my question is do I need to HEAT the liquid after diluting with MCT to ensure a homogeneous mixture?

Yes, I would heat the two to ensure a homogenous mixture. First question: What kind of equipment are you using to homogenize? Second question: When you say CBD oil, can you be more specific?

CBD oil…full spectrum hemp infused mct oil. I’m basically just cooking the hemp and mct oil together in a pressure cooker. Im expecting it to come out to around 40mg/ml based on previous test batches.

Equipment? a couple of carboys. none, per say. I was thinking of just getting a large pot that would hold 5 gallons or so and heat and stir.

If you’ve got 40mg/ml, and need 20mg/ml, heat is not a requirement

Not a requirement: pressure cooker

So just dilute and stir? When would heat be a requirement?

If by “CBD oil” you had meant distillate at ~850mg/ml or CBD crude at 650mg/ml…which is most often what folks mean , And why @Yorkshire asked for clarification.

When you extract from the biomass.
