Difference between open and closed top tank

Tank on the left of the picture is the open top type, and the right is the closed type one.
Same: both are have the jacketed coolant layer, and insulation layer.
Difference: the open type can not use as the pressure vessel, while the closed one is ok.
When matched with chiller, the open type can be cooled through the jacketed coolant interlayer, the closed type is not only the jacketed coolant layer, also the inner condenser coil, form the dual refrigeration. The key for the closed type that can better improve refrigeration rate, is it enable the chiller to control the temperature more accurately, and reduce the temperature difference.
For example: The 200/80 chiller work with a open type tank, when the chiller shows that the temperature reach -60°C, solvent(ethanol) inside the tank is around -35–40°C, need more time for heat exchange. While the temperature difference with a 200L closed tank is usually within 5 degrees Celsius, take short time.
Of course, the appearance of the open type may seems more convenient to use.
If necessary, you can customize it according to your needs! ! !

Can the open top vessel withstand the pressure of a human pushing on it while they are trapped inside?
