On top of that, the process itself is painful. Confusing paper forms. Redundant fields. Stuff that clearly exists to protect internal workflows instead of helping the people submitting samples.
We are already running close to 100 tests a month through outside labs. At that volume the delays become a real operational bottleneck, and the pricing games start to feel insulting. Most labs are built around paperwork and compliance optics, not around people actively extracting, formulating, and dialing in SOPs.
The original goal was simple. Set up HPLC in house for our own testing.
We need accurate data on edibles and finished products. We need in process testing during extraction and formulation. We need real feedback loops so SOP parameters can be adjusted intelligently for yield potency and consistency.
Paying outside labs repeatedly just to make small process tweaks is expensive slow and unnecessary when the data can be generated internally faster and with more context.

Same price whether you submit one sample or a hundred. Predictable transparent and fair. The people doing serious work should not be penalized or slowed down by accounting logic.
Bigger picture
Accessible accurate testing helps everyone. It gives extractors and formulators real data they can actually use. It also makes it harder for fake or misrepresented products to survive in the market.
