I don’t think it locks your vote until the poll closes on this one. People are free to change their minds until the last minute, it would seem. I can still change mine, but it registered that I voted.

Thanks for the shout out! I / we have already received plenty of recognition. Just naming this forum after my IG handle has been all the recognition a person could ever want or need.
I permanently remove myself from the Beaker award, with the hope that more people are encouraged to pay it forward.
Best case scenario, its 2x as hard to pick a winner next year because so many more people get nominated for being awesome in 2020

Tough choice for a new member, I’ve been here a month reading every day, and already owe back way more than I can ever contribute. Such a tribute to an old friend is heartwarming.
Just a thought for next time, you guys could try ranked voting? Even when announcing only one winner, each member participates with more input by giving a ranked-vote (ideal for low populations like this).

Ok I just voted and for a newbie its was a hard to pick just 1. So I came up with an Idea while blowing a bowl. How about each participant get a plaque stating that each are an Honorable member of the Dennis Parker (@Beaker) Award
