We have American Made 200 liter double jacket reactor on clearance right now for $19,500 with a motor and paddle.
I can make 50 liter as well, as I have a couple 50 liter jacketed reactors we can put a motor on.
Comes with a stainless keg collection with a cold trap on it.
If you’re into American stuff…
heater? EPR?
What’s the cheapest chiller you would recommend for the condenser?
My roto is in a different room.
We have tankless heaters in 22 kw, 54 kw, and 144 kw. We have a -30C Chinese chiller for just under 10k
You don’t need to be subzero, all it takes is 40F recirculated water or glycol.
What a deal!
Don’t waste your time. Based on experience.
What would you reccomend?
What’s the smallest volume you’d recommend descarbing in that unit?
We used to get the little polyscience chillers. Now we buy the MTA TaeevoTech 031 or Tee it off of a larger chiller.
84k all in before discount for sending feet pics.
At 25l this is the smallest and most expensive.
But it’s got huuuuuuuuuber
That’s ridiculous. Should only cost you a few grand -disregard***
Shouldn’t need to condense that cold just for decarb. 5-10c works just fine. An MTA would fit the job better than a Huber.m, would also save a ton of $$.
But have you ever seen a mermaid sitting inside of a MTA heater?
I rest my case.
You guys ever use these decarb reactors to blend ethanol with oil under heat?
Size definitely matters as you will only be able to mix in 1 liter of crude per 10 liters of decarb reactor space.
Are you thinking for winterizing or?
if it were a 100 L ss reactor and not one of the smaller options, yeah, absolutely, I used to homogenize in 100 L reactors and either winterize directly in reactor or empty out and stack in freezers.
That would be ideal but makes the TCU 5x
Use methanol instead of ethanol and you can do 5:1 without an issue. I use to put the methanol in the freezer then pour the hot crude in. You only need to hit -20c with methanol to fully winterize
