edit …
so work in progress hemp extract (WIPHE) is now illegal? How do we make our CBD products now? This is complete BS…
Maybe there will be more demand for us rec processors who legally break the law with d9 on the daily.
Looking like some new skus possibly dropping soon
CBD is also an isomer or analogue of THC so is captured by the DEA’s definition of “tetrahydrocannabinols” as I understand it
However CBD is specifically protected by hemp legislation, as are other hemp derived cannabinoids.
Hemp legislation was primarily designed to enable seed/fibre, with medicines as an afterthought - this is why we are still seeing this be so unclear around D8 and minors.
IMO THCV from hemp is OK.
THCV from botanics is synthetic and not OK
CBN from THC is THC derived and was effectively diverting THC so was not OK
Remember the DEA believes all cannabinoids are S1, but they don’t have any business interfering with compliant hemp.
Nothing has actually changed, they’re just asserting their reading which was pretty clear anyway and most labs seem to have been following.
Hopefully this will prompt the states and Dept Ag to clarify their position.
It’s push and pull between different departments.
This is my current reading. I’m not a lawyer!
Yes that is how I parse the text. Cbd, d8-thc and d9-thc are all isomers
Good sign. Very good sign.
1000 comments about d8thc as well.
Those 9 members were just given stock in d8 companies.
hemp companies*
Lolol look at the companies fighting them and then tell me they have much stock to give away. I know one of them very intimately and they r a fucking dumpster fire of an operation. All fraud no brakes
These people are used to dealing with Raytheon, Pfizer, etc - can’t imagine they’d fall for “Listen we’ve got a lotta cheap paper to give out…hemp deals are HOT in Toronto right now but we need a catalyst like this…we’ve got the internet promoters and the financing at 20% interest to take over this market”
