DEA Affirmatively States that THCO is a Schedule 1 Controlled Substance

Wouldn’t t be suprised if the prices you are receiving are this high deu to the European market
That’s for cbd issolate and it s isomerization products and all that’s thc flowers and extracts
If this chunk would fall out of the equation
Your prices will drop even more
Yust imagine legal export beeing a option
Very short sighted to call this our problem
Cause it honestly is not

Dude we think youre a great guy, respectfully…

I dont think anybody who has access to real cannabis is going to choose a synthetic cannabinoid.

My distaste for conversions has little to do with price. It has more to do with the stigma for cannabis being tainted by synthetically derived molecules.

the farm bill was cool when it was cbd

then that unregulated market tanked, then so did d8 so then the hemp imdustry had to sell rec weed through loopholes and sketchy conversions.

if you support that you aren’t in the weed industry and you are the chad

screenshot this and keep it till the end of time in your collection

Says d8 is illegal too because it’s synthetic.

I honestly believe the same reason I think legalization is a great thing
At the same time I do think that some should be available either for their psychoactivity or their medical valeu But some quality control should be in place

“DEA officials have indicated that delta-8 THC products are not controlled substances as long as they’re extracted from the natural plant, not synthesized.”

Looks like CRC is back boys

It doesn’t say that. It says D8 is illegal because there is a point at which the dry weight basis of the intermediate steps goes over 0.3% d9THC which is a controlled substance and that you cannot have any intermediate steps that do that.

Whether or not they are enforcing that is up to them. They often don’t enforce things directly, because the statutes of limitations on these things are like 25 years, so they could wait until you are retired and then ruin your life.

@pdxcanna screenies discuss this in more detail as well.

The DEA has been pretty specific about this stuff in every statement they have made. Leaving to the FDA what is not “schedule 1” but still illegal, cause the FDA says you are not allowed to put it in food, drugs, dietary supplements, cosmetics, or veterinary products - and introduce those products into interstate commerce.

And the DEA is keeping everything that they think is schedule 1 - all those hot hemp items, all the intermediates, all the conversion products which step through d9THC, etc. They had a solid speech on this at the CANNRA meeting in December (or was it November??). In any case - they are pretty darn specific consistently.

That anyone working in this space continues to do so and get away with it is a lack of resources on their part. I’m sure they would love to seize all the stuff and ruin all the lives if they could. If that wasn’t what they were interested in they would spend resources on education, improving lives, healthcare, and dissipating the reasons people choose to escape through substances instead of survive without them. -shrug-

Such is life. These things have always been schedule 1 - even when they waver and say you can do it if you can extract it directly from the plant. And even if they waver and say you can do it if you can manage NOT to create d9THC as an intermediate above 0.3% - they are always consistent about that. They know what the statute says.

Sure there are ways around the statute. I suppose the real question is - are those methods more cost effective than doing it any other way? And are the risks associated with those methods worth the squeeze.

I personally, say they are not cheaper and not safer. But that’s just me. <3

I was quoting this read. @cassin

Saying extracted d8 is fine, converted isn’t.

My take.

Totally. They are so specific about this - the only reason it wouldn’t be “okay” is if it was made from non-cannabis materials OR went through a process step that had it above 0.3% for any period of time.

Sucks really. I hope that congress fixed this in the 2023 farm bill, one way or another, so people don’t have to wonder about this stuff anymore.

I think it will go the way of prohibition - but I am hopeful.

So all hemp is illegal then because you cant make crude without going above .3% d9

Which wasnt congresses intent

You got some sauce on that?

Hemp extract =/= conversions, but that’s an interesting read, ty

Conversions fall under an in process hemp extract so

The letter I posted above also talks about cannabinoids contained in the plant OR derivatives which means theres 2 categories besides synthetics

All you guys weaving through loopholes will be reason it’s all made illegal.

I hope they shut down farm bill entirely. Too many states are thinking cbd access means they don’t need a medical Program in their state.

I got into this to grow and extract fire cannabis, not to find conflicting statements from people that don’t know anything about cannabis or hemp and to profit from the poor framework so I can sell tainted diet weed to Minors in gas stations.

If that’s what you do for a living make sure you wear a dunce cap with a dildo unicorn horn at events so people dont confuse you for actual cannabis industry people.

Most of us just want a clear set of rules to play by which weve been asking for for almost 5 years now

You want states to have medical programs so people have to pay high taxes to the government it sounds like. This doesnt make any sense for things like cbd or hemp products there are plenty of low income people out there that cant afford a 35% tax on a product like some states charge.

Dont know anything about cannabis or hemp? Is that why you have a post on this forum asking what equipment to buy to extract with? Speak for yourself as to the lack of your knowledge because i know i could run circles around you in any kind of lab

No one i know whos in the hemp industry is selling to any minors in gas stations. Youre literally talking about a couple bad apples and grouping us all together

Bitch I have worked for more companies designing the shit that you use to extract with to keep count. To call anything I do as product of “lack of knowledge” is about as dumb as your fucking wine filters that no one buys.

You are the smartest guy in the world who is so dumb they wouldnt run it by 50 other smartest guys in the world for free because what? Ego? Hubris?

Screenshot this too

 i wonder why youve worked for so many must be that same shitty attitude of yours that keeps getting you banned

Youre so smart you wanted to buy a new lid for that apex extractor instead of replacing the ferrule, alot of good any of those so called “designing” jobs of yours did. Youre still a dumbass obviously lol

Some of us can do our own research and dont need a :spoon: like you do, you swear that the questions you ask havent been asked by 50 other people on this website

Oh wait but you havent been around since the beginning that explains it

You just said you would void the cert on a 1k part for a lab and a license that cost millions?

Stay in hemp conversions dummy. Too much at stake with real licensed cannabis business to have negligent cowboys like you thinking they are the smartest guy in the world.

How many shitty wine filters did you sell for the wine filter guy?if you are so smart why have your claim to fame be such a giant turd?
