Hey all,

New to the forum and wanted to intro myself. I run a company based out of Asheville, NC called Dark City Molds. We manufacture custom platinum silicone molds exclusively for cannabis and CBD gummies. Saw that CBD slangers need to have product verified but wasn’t sure the protocol for supporting industries like mine, so wanted to check before diving in.

What separates your molds from other molds easily bought from china?

I have individual brownie molds, as well as butter stick molds going on 4yts of use.

Yes, if that’s your price point, we’re not a good match. We only deal in platinum (literally!) silicone for high speed production.

It’s cured with platinum instead of other cheaper elements like tin. It’s purer, more durable, and demolds very quickly in slab form.

Price point is $150-$185 per mat depending on size. Compare that to our competitors whose platinum mats sell for $200+

Haha. Yes, they’re more appropriate if you’re doing high volume and need rapid demolding. Costs about $1.75 per cavity so ROIs pretty immediately.

I am still amazed you even know what Rosman is. For sure next time you’re in the area we hit up some local spots. It’s looking more and more like we need to do a NC GLG meet up.

If I wasn’t so busy. I’d be up there every month. I love it up there. I can get from door to door in 10 hours if I leave at the right time and beat Jacksonville traffic.
