I recently picked up a batch of “95%” Delta 8. Upon receiving the batch, i noticed that it had an aroma, which seemed odd to me. Not a bad or unpleasant smell, almost dank, maybe hippie cologne. I figured maybe i got a batch cut with terpenes. Either way i sent it out to a reputable local lab and got results back at 72% total. Super disappointing. I am scared to even vape this stuff. Not really sure where i’m going with this, other than i am looking for feedback or advice from professionals and connoisseurs.
How would you handle this situation with your supplier? Do you think this batch is safe for consumption?
I would contact them and tell them that you are unhappy and frankly, be stern about getting a refund or an exchange. Use the low potency testing as your argument. People get defensive and refuse/make it more difficult to refund you if you accuse them of having contaminants or being shady.
Proverde also tested our 2 batches, and showed around 5% exo-THC. I would put money on this - send your sample to @kcalabs, and it will return around 15% D9 THC. Is it safe for consumption? Who knows, but I wouldn’t vape the unknown. Is it hot as hell? Yes.
I didn’t get a chromatogram with the results. Should they typically be included in the COA? Would it be reasonable to request the chromatogram from the lab?
I think with all the fuckery happening in the d8 market. You would be well within your rights to ask for the chromtogram. Especially when it’s so different than the origanal coa that came with the product
There’s a reason we got into this industry apart from personal interests. We decided to take it to the next level. Ask your lab why they won’t show you YOUR data and chromatograms. I’m interested in what they say.
Lots of these lab have also dropped the prices a lot. At certain level, I wonder how they can be profitable…
@vortal, you can also send a sample to me if you want a chromatogram.
For the d8 studies of forums member, at the moment I include them in the COA.
This is in fact an extra work.
