I wouldn’t use a 491 for that operation… Would be really hard on the compressor.
It’s better for use as a process compressor for moving bulk solvent. Doesn’t really like the conditions experienced for refrigeration and puts the efficiency below the minimum threshold.
That means the compressor will pretty much kill itself really quick. Will have to replace piston rings all the time or flat out rebuild the compressor frequently.
Yeah, they don’t like vacuum at all.
