Cookies Collaborations

Hey everyone I wanted to gather your thoughts on the Cookies franchises across the country. Have you worked for a company that has participated in one? Have you tried the flower, if so in what state, and how was it? Pro’s Con’s? let me know your side of the story. I myself have worked on a release, and am curious to hear peoples reactions before I divulge my feelings on the matter.

The topshelf from SF and Detroit are close but SF much better and… both them better than Cookies melrose

Pros: they supply genetics, they’re good genetics
They build out urban centered brands that are usually successfully implemented (see lemonade, dr, greenthumb)
Cons: the taxing systems and labor systems are costly, they will only do business with you if you have a building and license (I’m not positive on this but I’m pretty sure)

Absolute trash out of michigan. No where near quality on the west coast. They had rozay test out at 5 percent they apologized, and said they would give a discount to 35 an 8

Have you been to other locations or just those 3? I agree that Cookies in SF is one of the better locations.

This is true you can only Franchise with them in a state if you have the license to do so. Can you be more specific by what you mean with taxing and labor systems?

No i have not. But i know melrose was not very customer oriented. Best experience i had in LA was delivered in a Hummer by an eastern European, besides my people that is… always got to make a buy anytime i go to a legal state. Lol just to remind myself how well connected i must be or how low the quality is in that market compared to mine. Same reason I had georgia pie in michigan… ha

Colorado cookies is trash . Worked for the sister company of Veritas (higher grade, one of the same owners owns both (mike)) and it’s not good . Over dried and no cure. Knew a lot of folks who worked there and said had the typical pm etc . Now snaxlands brings their cookies cuts from Oklahoma which kills the “exclusivity” that Veritas had with their contracts lol . Good for cookies, bad for folks doing business with him.

Ouch! this is one of the problems with Franchising right? If you are not fully vetting the companies you are allowing to represent your genetics then you end up customers who don’t think highly of your product. This happens because they are expecting the original or at least hear-say from what the original was supposed to be.

You can grow their flower outright for tax system A
You can grow their flower with their labor for tax system B
Tax system B is greater by a few but significant percent points bc you literally do nothing.

Both systems they provide advertising, genetics, and sales assistance. The collab I was part of but am no longer a part of said that all that beautiful sugar trim they don’t care about, so that was going to be my little time to shine and win some cups again.

 I wasn’t aware of tax system B. Can you think of any states besides Cali where B is in effect?
I hear you on wanting that material though… Was a very sad day when making distillate out of 30+ cookies varieties because “we didn’t want to put out one time products.”

One of the problems with allowing the company franchising to be a canadian conglomerate. I’m not saying it’s impossible to mass produce exotic flower. But when the company does not have a proven track record , your setting yourself up for failure. Between the franchise model ruining quality, and employees stealing and selling their exclusive cuts cookie is fucked

He saying that because there is no quality verification, amongst the growers growing their genetics across the country the customers who are buying it are “Custys” because they didn’t do their research on the product they are buying and instead have gone off a name/bag.

True
What I can do in my garden, others may not be able to duplicate.

Speaking of going off of a name/bag that’s exactly how cookies makes their money. Selling the bag instead of the bud just like a soft drink company

What they are doing in michigan in imo is blasphemous to the game.

Berner and jigga steal thin mint cookie from crystal st george true breeder by renaming s1 seeds.

Gage green group breeders of mendo breath are rocking kicking ass in michigan, and mendo breath strains are changing the game.

Cookies creates a collab with a canadian pot company to create gage cannabis company in michigan.

Gage green group

Gage cannabis company anyone confused yet?
