I have recently considered opening a consumption lounge in West Virginia. However some roadblocks have been met considering that the consumption lounge market is still very new, which is limiting in regards to learning from others mistakes and a lack of established DCE compliance laws in the state. Essentially, we will serve as a hub for the developing cannabis culture. It will be a safe space for individuals to enjoy both smokeable hemp and MMJ, we will serve alcohol, provide food from a food truck (or rotation of local food trucks,) along with hosting an array of educational and community events.
Mainly I’m looking for
- Someone from the consumption lounge space to provide guidance in the startup process.
- How to navigate the clean air act with an indoor smoke lounge.
- Any potential suppliers (greenhouse/indoor flower, concentrates, glass blowers, etc) from the Appalachian region.
- Any helpful insight on where WV locals see the cannabis industry going from where it currently stands.
