Condensing shatter into a brick

Let’s say you have 15 lbs of snap and pull shatter , and need to condense it all into one big hockey puck for reasons I’m sure some of you can guess… I’m sure this wouldn’t be too hard, now that it’s in a brick, how do I turn it back into its original state , so that I can weigh out ounces. Kind of a noob question I’m sure but shatter is a new thing for me so I’m curious on this. Is there a method you can do that won’t effect terps or color?

Break into small pieces, or freeze and shatter, then place pieces on parchment in the vac oven for a bit and it will melt, then flatten

Dab the whole thing.

Use a rosin press. Weigh out oz chunks and smash em in parchment. Put them in the oven for a lil bit at lowest setting to get your clarity back it will still be brackish looking. It’s not ideal, but we had a mishap a longggg time ago and that’s what we did. No one complained.

Edit: I did this once. It does burn off terps a tiddy bit. It does the job though and is kind of nice having perfect pancakes.

I would keep folding it on itself until I’d achieved my desired exterior measurements then like others have mentioned you would simply freeze and break it for weighing purposes before melting your desired quantities back into paddies of your desired thickness. Very low heat and a weight can speed up the process. Parchment and a freezer for keeping things clean and orderly.

I don’t really promote this tek since it jst burns away all the Terps but if you have to. Buy a tshirt press. Set it to 165 degrees farenheit for 30seconds on each press. Take each ounce into a ball and place between two sheets of parchment and put a vac oven drawer on the bottom of the press. Place parchment with ball in between on oven drawer. Smash three to five times until it’s a perfect circle. I think I threw this into oven for clarity after pressing as mentioned above.Let cure for a day.

Precisely. A rosin press can control temps a lil mo betta and squish a lil mo betta, but same stuff. Picture is worth a thousand words!
