The main reason I chose to go the custom route was because I was unhappy with available options. For instance when I originally dealt with growlink, controlling light deprivation by temperature and vpd in addition to time was a novel idea to them. I’ve experienced similar limitations with Eden and Trolmaster, they just don’t quite do everything I need

This is why I build my own controls.

Open source crop steering solutions and tools

I have been working on an open source crop steering project, and I am coming up on completing a majority of the commercial offering. I will be offering all the tools that are a part of my commercial offering, as open source for the community to use and build on their own. The first offering is remote relay control. I have an SDI-12 module coming out that will open up a lot of possibilities, it happens to include a slave module.

Affordable forward looking infra red sensors for LST, etc.

The THC-S Rs485 seems to be THE low end sensor of choice at the moment.

I will also be dropping a Node Red logic controller that will rival PLC and GrowLink/ off the shelf solutions. Much like Home Assistant but AG focused.
