Personally I wouldn’t be selling synthetic molecules.

We had a local mushroom lab get raided by the local sheriffs office recently after the law was passed that you can have possession of the mushrooms here in NoCo. A really good friend of mine is now caught up in the shit show because he was there at the time of the raid.

Besides legal reasons, the potential byproducts left behind from the reaction I can very much do without. Most of the chems used are already cancerous or really fkn bad for you to ingest.

Do you perform post synthesis tests to verify the residuals are removed to at least a ppm level? I highly doubt it. Would add a good bit to the cost of production.

No one has broke 10% psilo extract (mg/g is 0-1000 not 0-100). Basically, people are taking 1-1.5% bio and turning it into less than 1% potency extract.

In a few cases I have seen it come up to 5% potency but nothing that has been confirmed above that from what I have seen.

The sugars are the problem. They are soluble in pretty much every solvent used to extract the p-bin. I have looked at digesting the sugars with enzymes but you still end up with simple sugars like glucose, fructose, and galactose in the extract.

We use CPC to isolate psilocin.

Yes raw extract is in that ballpark.

Bad ass… I always wanted to play with one of those…

On a side note, we have considered turning our extractors into moving bed chromatography systems. Might have to look at that concept again.

Moving bed in one of your extractors would be pretty awesome.

I have been able to get methanol extracts up to a 15-18% concentration though with a precipitation.

Cleaning up these types of synthetic compounds is very doable, actually easier then cleaning up a natural extraction. But you’re right that at least the colorado law only allows for extraction of natural compounds so it’s kind of a moot point.
